From the Board ChairThe National Directory for Catechesis
I came away from this gathering with a few reflections I would like to share with you. Youth Ministry Leader = Catechetical Leader? Perhaps.
New Youth and Adult RecognitionsFor nearly two years the NFCYM has been in the process of revising the youth ministry recognitions that are replacing the Eagle of the Cross, For God and Youth, and the youth and adult recognition pins. Please view the “hidden” page on the NFCYM website. There you may view the draft images of the awards and their respective price ranges. We are asking that diocesan leaders (who have not already responded), parish youth ministry leaders, and high school campus ministers email the NFCYM office by December 5, letting us know of your intended purchase of these awards so that we may produce a sufficient quantity for this year. Please note: the "diocesan awards" may only be purchased by dioceses. View Awards

On October 3, I had the opportunity to attend a regional in-service sponsored by the USCCB on the new National Directory for Catechesis.
